Next Meeting
Burger King last month in October was a bit stark.  Wasn’t in the mood for a hamburger of the fast food type, so I contacted Tally’s Good Food Cafe at 11th and S. Yale (1102 S Yale) for something a bit more varied and nicer, and we’ll see how that works for us. Management also expressed the desire that all the attendees would be hungry and order dessert with their dinner and drink.  Plenty of parking on the west side of the restaurant.  We’ll be in the back.  I’ll try to remember our BMW sign.

November 10 @ 7:00 PM
meeting starts at 7, come earlier for dinner

Our treasurer says we have money, so, we need to spend some.  The club used to do a Christmas dinner, but back then, it was pot luck and hosted at a member’s home.  Reserving a location in a restaurant can get tricky the closer to the holidays, plus everyone usually have other engagements to attend, so I would suggest ASAP.  We can discuss. You’ve gotta arrive to discuss. Continue reading November 2015 Newsletter

Next Meeting
As  before, 7:00 p.m., November 13, 2014 on THURSDAY – note the day change. Next year we will have all Tuesdays, but we reserved this year’s schedule at the beginning of the year with other groups already having our favorite dates.

Last Meeting

We had a low key meeting with about a dozen showing.

Anita had brought some scrumptious cake for us to snack on. What was it, carrot? Yum!  I think someone found a coffee dispenser next door to supplement it.

I brought in another receipt for expenses for the rally thus we didn’t get a profit/loss statement yet.

We spoke of the comments our rally goers had about our event.  “Large Area”, “Trees”, in addition to “Need more toilets and sinks”.  Anita’s Cole Slaw received rave reviews whereas the stuff brought in was best described as ‘soupy’.  Others commented on the BBQ brought in was no taster than Sam’s.

Our bylaws state that BMW-owning members in good standing are to be presented to the membership during the November meeting for election to next year’s officers positions. I think I could hear a pin drop. If you’re interested in serving as a club officer for 2015 please contact me.

Rex did some additional magic with Square Deal and our web site and set up online ordering for the excess Tees we had left over from the rally.  I volunteered to handle the mechanics of the transactions, printing, stuffing and mailing so some more shirts may be gone come next year.  Paula likes hers.

Next Meeting
Our February meeting will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Mc Nellie’s South– near 71st and Yale. We’ll gather at 6:30 pm and begin serious discussion at 7:00 pm. If you don’t see us immediately ask for the BMW group.

Last Meeting
We met at El Fogon Mexican Restaurant, basically across the street (and up a block) from Legend’s on the north side of Owasso.  They do well on their Mexican offerings.  The only officer missing was John Moore, who was down in Baja Mexico getting a ride on a flatbed after destroying a front tire beyond the scope of a simple plug repair.  Apparently the 12 mile / 10 hour segment of the road wore out both the bike and rider, or was that 10 mile / 12 hour.  I’ll expect to get a full report from roving John.
